Folk Alliance International to Present Special Performance by Bill Miller

Folk Alliance International in special partnership with 1680Entertainment proudly presents legendary Native American Artist, Activist, and 3-time GRAMMY® Award-winner Bill Miller (Mohican) in concert on February 17, 2017. Miller will field an intimate acoustic performance accompanied by fellow Native American artist Ken Lingad (Isleta Pueblo) on native drum and other percussion.

Folk Alliance International Executive Director Aengus Finnan reached out to Miller’s management team – Nashville-based 1680Entertainment – for assistance in co-presenting an intimate performance by the iconic Native American artist, noting

Our theme this year is Forbidden Folk (Celebrating Activism in Art) and this is coinciding with an Indigenous gathering with artists from the Arctic, Canada, the US, and Latin America.
We are honored to present Bill Miller in the gathering, on a panel, and in a special showcase.

Bill Miller Headlines Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Tribute to Johnny Cash

Among the star-studded line-up at the Rock and Roll hall of Fame 21st Annual Music Masters Concert Tribute to Johnny Cash, Bill Miller took the stage with the authority both he and his musical brother, John Carter Cash, are known for commanding.

Back home and On the Mend

After two months of intense medical meetings and procedures, Bill Miller is preparing to take the next step of his healing journey, returning to the community that claims him as “their own” for two performances. Bill is scheduled to take the stage in Lacrosse, Wisconsin, for two different shows on June 9 and 11, respectively.

Good morning from Nashville, Tennessee.

For over 30-years, Bill Miller’s music and performances have fostered healing and positive growth for so many lives around the world – and it seems that many of you are channeling back that energy and mindful prayer back to him. After yesterday’s surgery, Bill Miller is resting quietly, and is in stable condition. We have been sharing the outpouring of prayer messages his fans and friends have offered – about 500,000 of them, so far – and Bill is overwhelmingly grateful for your support. We expect his doctors to report to us later today, and will share an update at that time.

Thank you all for your continued love, support, and healing prayers for our dear brother, Bill.

Bill Miller Undergoes Surgery

Having just conferred with medical staff at this late hour, we want to inform Bill’s many fans and friends of his current condition. Bill has had a rough day, recovering from yesterday’s surgery and other ill affects. He is sleeping now, but doctors will attempt a second surgery, specifically on his heart, tomorrow (Thursday) morning around 9am, Central Time. Although Bill has always been a warrior for the Great Spirit, he is weak and we ask for your collective prayers and healing thoughts for the next round of surgery he will soon undergo. We will post more updates as information is available.

Bill Miller Hospitalized in Intensive Care

Please join us as we offer our thoughts and prayers for healing for our dear brother, Bill Miller, who was admitted to a Nashville hospital yesterday, and is now in ICU recovering from surgery to treat multiple life-threatening blood clots in his leg, heart, and lungs.
